Similiar but very different!

Both pale and stripy, with delicate pink ribs and tips to each petal

when the florets first open, deepening over the next few days.

Here is the clump with both flowering heads, (the second in the distance)

and then a close up of each cluster of flowers separately.

They really need to be full screen to see the detail,

and the scent is wafting all around the garden.

How amazing things are in closeup...small treasures out of time, too easily taken for granted.
The stones are from the Kimberley and given by a traditional owner, the clock was
passed to me by my grandmother before she died, and the fairies are from my mother....
